It was almost a year ago that we had a great fundraising yard sale to help Lauren and Austin with bills and rent after they were hit by drunk drivers.

Lots has happened since then. Wounds have healed, prosthetics are getting used more than crutches, and dumb drunk drivers are doing time.

Now it's time to get busy living!
Lauren has always wanted to surf. After losing her leg, there were times she thought doing stuff like that might not happen. Austin? Well, Austin has concerns about sharks, but he'll give it a go!

Enter ampsurf.org (Association of Amputee Surfers) -- they take amputees and help them learn how to surf! Check out their website and see lots of great videos and photos.

Lauren and Austin are both signed up for the July 10th clinic in Pismo Beach, California! A few friends have also signed up to be volunteers for the event, as well.

The Clinic is free, but travel is not. I would like to make sure that they can get there, so Saturday June 12th (NEXT SATURDAY!) I will be hosting another Yard Sale! Come by and buy crap and quality goods from your friends. Feel free to sell your own stuff and kick down to the kids, or come by anytime this week and drop stuff off and I'll sell it for you!

We'll start bright and early at 8 a.m. and sell, sell, sell!

There is a Stumptown Coffee across the street for your morning fix, and we will also be selling some food for lunch (it is a fundraiser). Quite possibly the best Philippino Adobo, Lumpia, and Cucumber salad you've ever had! Lunch will come in both Vegan and Carnivore flavors!

So come on over this Saturday and hang out, get rid of stuff, or add more stuff to your collection!
